Mobile Dimensioning Field Technician & Project Development - (Travel Role / Full-Time)

Product Data Pros helps warehouses and manufacturers capture accurate product dimension and weight data directly at the source using modern mobile dimensioning technology.
We are building a new category of mobile product data collection, and we’re looking for motivated team members who want to grow with us.
This is a travel-based, hands-on field role that combines technology, movement, teamwork, and problem solving.
Instead of moving products to fixed measuring stations, our team brings the measurement tools to the product — capturing dimensions, weight, and images directly on warehouse floors. Technicians use rugged tablets powered by AI and 3D dimensioning technology to instantly capture accurate measurements for boxes, irregular objects, flats, apparel, small parts, and more, while mobile Bluetooth scales are used to quickly record product weights.

What You’ll Do
As a Mobile Dimensioning Field Technician, you will work inside client warehouses and distribution centers collecting product data using specialized tools and software. Each project may vary on objects and attributes needing to be collected.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Measuring product dimensions using mobile dimensioning systems
• Capturing product images using company-issued mobile devices
• Collecting and verifying product weights
• Logging and verifying product data and attributes within digital collection systems
• Walking warehouse aisles to locate and measure products
• Working safely around forklifts, racking, and active warehouse operations
• Communicating with client staff to locate products when needed
• Keeping work areas organized and respecting client environments
Technicians typically work as part of a small field team, often led by a Dimension Lead or Regional Lead.
Accuracy and professionalism are critical because the data collected directly impacts our clients’ operational systems
As Project Development, you will help support the growth of the company by identifying and seeking upcoming project opportunities, assisting with proposal preparation and bidding, and helping build relationships with potential clients. You may also support the training and onboarding of new field technicians as our team expands, and assist with opportunities to promote or resell the mobile dimensioning tools and technology used in our projects.

A Typical Day in the Field
While each project is different, a typical workday may include:
• Morning team briefing and project goals
• Navigating warehouse locations and product storage areas
• Measuring product dimensions and recording data
• Photographing products and verifying weight information
• Quality-checking collected data for accuracy
• Coordinating with teammates to maintain efficiency and coverage
This role requires consistent walking, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Travel Expectations
This role requires travel to client warehouse locations across the United States.
Typical travel structure:
• Project assignments lasting 2–12 weeks
• Normal working hours M-F (~40hrs/week)
• Some projects may require overtime, odd hours or weekends.

• Lodging accommodations provided during projects
• Project support such as per diem, meal stipends, or travel incentives may apply depending on assignment
Technicians typically travel with other team members and return home between projects when possible.

Compensation & Project Support
Compensation typically includes:
• Starting wage of $20/hour, based on experience
• Training rate may vary during onboarding and initial field assignments
• Overtime opportunities during project work
• Travel and lodging covered during assignments
• Project support such as per diem or stipends depending on assignment
